TSC Vetting Process – Check details:

The Commission will vet the recruitment documents in accordance with the guidelines and:

  1. Inform the recruiting agents of the outcome of the vetting process.
  2. Issue appointment letters to successful candidates. Failure to take up the appointment within the stipulated period will automatically lead to cancellation of appointment.

RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF VACANCIES FOR PRINCIPAL    TEACHER MANAGEMENT OFFICER AND CURRICULUM SUPPORT OFFICER.

The Teachers Service Commission is a Constitutional Commission established under article 237 (1) of the Constitution. Pursuant to its mandate, the Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the posts of Principal Teacher Management officers and Curriculum Support Officers.

1.    ADVERT   NO’    42/2023  -PRINCIPAL   TEACHER   MANAGEMENT OFFICER, TSC JOB GRADE 7: NUMBER OF POSTS – 92

 

Job Description

Reporting to County Director, this position is responsible for the provision of Teacher Management general administrative support, Customer Care and Data Management for public institutions at TSC headquarters, County and Sub-County offices. In addition, an officer at this level should be able to quality assure for the teaching service. Successful applicants will be deployed in any station within the Republic of Kenya as Sub-County Director.

Requirements for the Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

  1. Served satisfactorily as a Curriculum Support Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized institution; OR

A Bachelor’s degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;

  • Certificate in computer application skills;

 

  1. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and

NB: Masters’ degree in Education from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;

 

1.    ADVERT NO’ 43/2023 CURRICULUM SUPPORT OFFICER II (CSO REGULAR), JOB GRADE C5, TSC SCALE 10: Number of Posts -286

 

Job Description

The Curriculum Support Officers are charged with the responsibility assessing teachers’ needs, training them, providing professional guidance and assessing learning outcomes among other responsibilities. They also ensure that teachers comply with the set teaching standards, advise on career progression and professional development for teachers, monitoring the conduct and performance of teachers and collection and maintenance of teacher management data.

 

Requirements for the Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  1. Served as a teacher in Job Grade C4 TSC Scale 9 (and above); for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  2. A Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized institution,

OR

A Bachelor’s degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized Institution;

  • Certificate in computer applications
  1. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

 

NB: Masters’ degree in Education from a recognized institution will be an added advantage

  • Diploma in SNE
  1. Certificate in computer applications
  2. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

  1. Served as Curriculum Support Officer; TSC Scale 10 for a minimum period of Three (3) years
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized institution; OR

Bachelor’s degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;

  • Certificate in computer applications skills;

Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;

NB: Masters’ degree in Education from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;

Notes:

  1. During the interview, candidates will be required to produce the original:
    1. National Identity Card,
    2. Academic and professional
    3. Appointment & Designation letter to the current
