St. Monica’s College of Education | St. Raphael Hall

BACKGROUND

St. Raphael Hall was named after the great archangel Raphael that stands for praise, love, Charity, Godliness and intersection which the members of the hall (students) are expected to emulate. The hall uses red as its name colour to signify bravely and readiness to fight hard to achieve its goals and also to show love to others.

Past and Current Hall Wardens

The hall has seen many wardens over the years, among them are:

  • Miss Yaa Asantewaa Bediako(2003-2012)
  • Miss Patricia Marfo(2012-2014)
  • Miss Augustina Mensah(2014-2015)
  • Currently the hall is been managed by Miss Eva Younge.

Current Hall Executive

The present prefects managing the affairs of the hall with the current hall warden are:

  • Ayimadu Sandra(Hall President)
  • Adzor Enyonam Vera(Vice President)
  • Donyuo Angela(Hall Secretary)
  • Appiahene Dylis(Hall Mother)
  • Marfo Naomi(Asst. Hall Mother)
  • Adona Rita(Sports Prefect)
  • Boansi Ellen(Entertainment Rep)
  • Asantewaa Naomi(Hall Chaplain)
  • Agyeiwaa Dorothy(Dept. Chaplain)

Achievements

The various rooms in the hall have received some face lift. Some of which are the installation of ceiling fans and tiling of the various rooms.

In sports the hall has two outstanding trophies, one for hand ball and the other for inter-hall quiz competition.

Best student Miss Esther Oteng (First Class Student of the 2014 Graduants) was also from St. Raphael Hall.
