St. Monica’s College of Education | St. Michael Hall

MOTTO: ‘SOUR HIGH TO CONQUER’

The hall is the first hall built by Anglican sisters in 1936 when the school was established.

The hall has been managed by competent wardens such as Madam Victoria (1982 to 1984),Madam Akosuah Afriyie, Miss Mary Ankomah, Miss Martina Cudjoe(two decades),Madam Joyce Nsiah Asante, Miss Elizabeth Adoma Sefah (2010 to 2011),Mrs Akosuah Serwaa Aniagyei (2011 to 2013)and Mrs. Patricia Amponsah (2014-2016) whist  currently hall warden is Mrs. Veronica Nketia Siaw

 

Saint Michael Hall currently has a student population of 163. The Executive members that assist the hall warden include the following:

 

  • Ibrahim Asata (Main Hall President)
  • Asumenya Gloria (Assistant Hall President)
  • Paintsil Prepetual (Main Hall Chaplain)
  • Helena Oppong (Assistant Hall Mother)
  • Attakorah Josephine(Entertainment Prefect)
  • Appiah Lois (Assistant Entertainment Prefect)
  • Mohammed Saadatu (sports)

Achievement

In sports, the hall won trophy for soccer championship in 2015. The hall took the second place in the overall sports competition among the various halls in the school.

Also in academic the hall has won the trophy for quiz.

Projects undertaking the hall include the following:

  • Laying tiles in the bathrooms and wash rooms.
  • Dormitories and all rooms have more than one fan to make students feel comfortable.
