Lancaster University Ghana LUG Foundation Programme Courses
Course Structure
The Programme comprises three terms (trimesters) of nine weeks’ teaching, an assessment week, and a study break in between the trimesters. The modules taught are conducted in English, and there are no prerequisites.

The weekly timetable focuses on a combination of formal lectures, small-group tutorials/discussions, assignment sessions, and library and academic support workshops.
All modules are equally weighted, with progression from one trimester to the next. Completion of the Foundation Programme requires a pass mark of 50 per cent in each unit. Students who want to pursue a Law degree at Lancaster University require at least a grade “B” in Legal Perspectives and an overall average Foundation score of 70 per cent.
