Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School (Akyerema) is located in the Sekyere Kumawu District in the KumawuThe school has beautiful infrastructure in a serene environment suitable for academic workThe foundation stone was laid in August 20, 1959 by HonKrobo Edusei; Minister of Transport & Communication and Member of Parliament for the area.It is the first secondary school of the area and one of the Ghana Education Trust Schools established by Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s CPP GovernmentThe Name Tweneboa Kodua was chosen by consensus for the school to immortalize the name of Barima Tweneboa Kodua, who has given up his life to enable the Ashanti Kingdom win its war of liberation against Denkyira during the reign of Otumfuo Osei Tutu I.
