You can now do the following on our E-Insurance platform

  1. OPEN AN ACCOUNT

    • First time customer will open an account
    • Customers can register and logon to the portal using email address
      and password and mobile number.
    • The mobile number and email address are validated and these are
      used for primary communication with the customer.
  2. BUYING NEW POLICIES

    • Customers can buy new policies online for the following insurance
      products:
    • Motor Insurance (All Cover Types)
    • Individual Personal Accident
    • Travel Insurance
    • Comprehensive Home Owners (All Cover Types)
    • Customer can buy policy on behalf of someone
  3. ADDING EXISTING POLICIES

    • Customers can also import their existing policies (policies that were not purchased online) into the online portal and manage it. These policies’ can be renewed online at the customer’s discretion.
    • Before adding existing policies, customers go through a minimal validation process. This ensures customers can only see and add policies they honestly know or have information about.
  4. POLICY RENEWALS

    • All policies can be renewed once the validity period expires. For policies purchased originally online, the customer can make changes and renew.
    • Because of complications, offline policies are not editable during renewals, the customer can choose to renew maintaining the old information (The policies’ period is automatically calculated and maintained by the system, eg. if the policy was for a 6 month period, at renewal, the system will calculate and maintain this period using the current payment/issue date).
  5. MOTOR CLAIMS FORM

    • Customers can file for motor insurance claims. They provide all the necessary information by filling the form. Customers can also upload pictures/scanned copies of necessary documents from the claim screen.
  6. CUSTOMER NOTIFICATIONS

    • Customers receive notifications for the following:
    • On Account opening
    • Successful Activation and Signup
    • When new or existing policies have been activated
    • When existing policies are about to expire
  7. PAYMENT RECORDS

    • Customers have access to all the payments made on policies. This allows them to track various payments made on the policies.
  8. DATE VALIDATION DURING PAYMENT

    • Payment date cannot be later than policy start day.
    • Example, the start date chosen for a policy could be 1st January 2015 and the customer decides to make payments on 2nd January, 2015. The system stops this and forces the customer to change the date before proceeding.
    • When this happens the customer will have to adjust the start and end date of the policy.
  9. POLICY STATUS

    • All policies have status flags attached to them. These flags are 1. Active 2. Unpaid 3. Incomplete.
  10. PAYMENT

    • Customer will receive e-mail notification and SMS upon confirmation of payment. Policy details are sent to email account provided by the customer
    • Policy becomes active only upon payment of premium screen.
