Job Description

OBJECTIVES

• To keep constant track of all spares, back orders placed by the branch and ensure that the branches adhere to inter branch transfers lead time.
• Maintain an efficient and reliable parts supply to the branches, service department and our customers
• Ensure an efficient and effective housekeeping practices in the warehouse.
• Ensure that all processes and procedures are duly followed in the warehouse

FIELD OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Assist the warehouse supervisor to his daily task
• Ensure that all incoming parts are received, checked and binned into the right locations appropriately
• Ensure that all out going parts are dispatched to the respective branches on the next available shuttle and waybills written to cover them
• Ensure that all picking list and service requisitions are picked on time
• Report all discrepancies to the branch Warehouse Supervisor for necessary action to be taken
• Ensure that all parts returns are in good and salable condition, binned appropriately into stock and advise Supervisor
• Keep proper documentation for all warehouse transactions
• Participate and assist in all annual stock check with directive from the National Parts Manager
• Add keep the warehouse and the parts locations clean and organized

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor/Diploma in Purchasing and supply from a recognized university or polytechnic;
• 3-5 years relevant experience;
• Experience and familiarity working with automobile/heavy equipment business is a plus;
• Perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations;
• Work with minimal supervision;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Ability to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs;
