The school aims at delivering top-quality holistic education based on sound
Academic excellence and moral principles for the total development of its students, as well producing fine ladies and gentlemen to propel the growth and development of mother Ghana.
Some Achievements
Mansoman Senior High School is an achievement to Manso Atwere Community. According to Mr Moses Antwi Boasiako, the then Krontihene, in the early 1970s when Manso was desiring to get a secondary school, all the bigger communities craved for it.
Among the competing towns were Manso Nkwanta, Abore, Atwere, Assamang, Yawkrom and Agroyesum. Manso Atwere had pipe born water, electricity generating plant and a community centre, all of which the competing communities did not have. Having the upper hand in these facilities, Atwere started the school in its community centre from 1972, and towards the end of 1973 the Government absorbed it. The enrolment was twenty; fourteen males and six females.
The school progressed well benefited from government Science Resource Centre project in the 1990s. We have well furnished Science laboratories with a big bus.
In 2006 the PTA built an ICT laboratory which was jointly furnished by the PTA, Millennium Service and the then MP, Hon Grace Addo (2012). In 2010, the French Department presented two students in a regional competition held at Opoku Ware School. Master Henry Frimpong came victorious and won a scholarship package to study in the Republic of Togo, which he did.
Mansoman SHS presented Mr Philip Boateng in 2007 for Best Teacher awards and he won the National best award in the General Arts division.
The Scripture Union hosted the School Mission programme in 2012. Mansoman presented the largest number of representatives in their Life-Build Conference held at Yaa Asantewaa SHS in August 2016.
Mr Stephen Annor Yeboah as the headmaster met about 37 student population in 2001. He embarked on a serious enrolment drive which helped shot the number up to about 900 before he was transferred to Toase SHS in 2009.
From the beginning, there was no bigger room than 20 by 40 square feet in the school. Mr Daniel Opoku built a big multipurpose Hall in 2013. It is now used as dining, assembly, kitchen, stores and classrooms.
On 15th February 2014, the students moved to the main campus from their similitude four campuses by the then Headmaster, Mr Andrews Kofi Sarkodie. He also repaired the age-old electric generating plant in August 2014 which illuminates the campus during national electric power cut offs.
The school was one of the deprived that benefited from the 2002 government model school projects but the girls dormitory from then could not be completed up till now.
The founder Jackson Education Complex, Professor Jackson and his family donated five thousand (GH¢ 5,000) to Mansoman for constructing their own football field. Mansoman had her first ever sports field in 2014.
Mr Benjamin Kwaku Baah took over the headship in October 2015. He repaired all the off-road vehicles, built a fence wall round the school and had one of the best WASSCE results in June 2015.
