Welcome to the Richard McMillan Library of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. The Library was established in 1959 and named after the first director of the Institute, Richard McMillan. About 70 percent of the Library’s holdings are on communication studies and the English language.
The Richard McMillan Library provides information in both print and electronic formats for its patrons in support of teaching, learning, research and publication.
In addition, students may borrow one reference book over the weekend at the discretion of the Librarian. Such books should be borrowed between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and must be returned by 9.30 a.m. on Monday. Lecturers may borrow up to 3 reference books on Friday and must return them by 9.30 a.m. on Monday.
