The school was established by the Omanhene of Ejisu, Nana Akwasi Afrane II as the second middle school in the Ejisu Traditional Area in 1950.
It was turned into a continuation school between 1970 and 1987 to concentrate on the teaching and learning of Agricultural Science with emphasis on Livestock farming, in  1987  the school was turned into a Junior Secondary School.
In 1991, the school was upgraded to the status of Senior Secondary Technical School to offer Technical and Vocational courses. The school initially offered Agricultural Science, Home Economics, Visual Arts and Technical programmes. With the passage of time, General Arts, Business and General Science have been added.
Past and present heads
The first Headmistress of the school was Mrs. Cedrina Ayesu – Offei and served from 1991 to 1997. She was followed by Mr. E.E.Penni who served from 1997 to October 2011. Mr. E.E Penni was succeeded by Mr. R.E.C. Amoah from 2011 to October 2012. The Late Mrs. Ernestina Nyame – Kwarteng took over from Mr. R.E.C. Amoah and worked until March 2015. The baton of leadership of the school is now in the hands of Mr. Obeng – Antwi Boateng.

STATUS OF THE SCHOOL
It offers both day and boarding facilities but the boarders are all boys, no boarding facility for the girls as of now.
 
CHALLENGES

  • Inadequate classroom block
  • Lack of girls dormitory
  • No generator/power plant
  • Uncompleted fence wall
  • Few accommodation for the staff (only 2 for the Headmaster and his Assistant)
  • No Assembly hall; the dining hall is being used as an assembly hall.

THE WAY FORWARD
Despite all these challenges, the school is doing well academically. We are making a passionate appeal to all the stakeholders in Education to assist the school put up more infrastructures to meet the accommodation challenges.

S.R.C. REPORT
 
Over the previous years, the school has had new set of S.R.C.
The S.R.C. has assisted in

  • Implementing policies in the school.
  • Ensuring discipline in the school.
  • Speaking and standing in for students in terms of difficulties.

Some of the achievements of the S.R.C. are;

  • Provision of Lover’s Benches in the school.
  • Construction of Modern Urinal which is about 90% complete.
  • The immediate past S.R.C. inaugurated the Writers, Drama and Debaters Club. The club took part in the middle edition of Regional Quiz Competition on Asante History and Culture at ST. Margret University at Feyiase on the 5th February 2016, and immerged the winner in the sub-region. The club also won Gold in the Oral Literature Competition organized by the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Di
