ACDI/VOCA Job Vacancies 2020 For Field Accountant, Application Details
We are currently seeking Field Accountant to be based in the Bolga Office for a USAID-funded project.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Liaise with vendors for procurement and payment of invoices
• Maintain bank accounts and withdraw funds from the office needs upon the Team leader’s request
• Maintain proper internal controls over the receipt, disbursement and management of all financial resources
• Maintain the financial records of the field office and prepares financial documents and approval by the Team Leader
• Prepare and submit filed office financial report, supporting documentation, field cash reconciliation and cash projections to the finance team in the Accra office
• Coordinate with the finance team in Accra to ensure that the field office’s financial and administrative matters are executed efficiently
• Prepare statutory monthly and annual tax return reports for local Tax authorities, as applicable
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree in accounting from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management. Experience in an international non-government organisation is preferred. Experience with donor project procedures, policies and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, organisational and research and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel Quickbooks and other relevant computer applications to detail
• Ability to work minimal guidance and manage priorities and work flow
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
