2017 WAEC May/June Results Statistics – 58,351 Had F9

2017 WASSCE for School Candidates results statistics have been released by the Head of Public Affairs, WAEC. A total of 58,351 candidates had F9 in various subjects representing 20.35{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e} of the total number of candidates.

 

From the latest report reaching us, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2017/2020 WAEC May/June results and the Statistics are as follows.

The West African Examination Council WAEC has released the provisional results of the 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to a statement signed on Wednesday by the Head of Public Affairs at WAEC Madam Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, a total of 58,351 candidates had F9 in various subjects representing 20.35{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e} of the total number of candidates.

WAEC said for the English Language, 155,077, representing 54.06{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e} obtained between A1 and C6 while 73,409 (25.59{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) had between D7 and E8.

For Mathematics WAEC stated that 122,450 (42.73{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) had A1-C6 while 106, 024 (37{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) had D7-E8 and a total of 58,070 (20.27{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) had F9.

In Integrated Science, 125,204 (43.66{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) passed (A1-C6) while 84851 (29.59{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}) obtained D7-E8.

About 26.75{508970d6e0416f36a2d25fd83ae6be1077af983407cd2381e4e8f36ae7e6a82e}, translating to 76,693 failed (F9) in Integrated Science.

According to WAEC, 67,078 failed in Social Studies while 149, 806 passed (A1-C6). 69,795 obtained between D7 and E8.

WAEC further noted that the entire results of candidates from 185 schools have been withheld, pending the conclusion of investigations into malpractices detected during and after the examinations.
